Enough good things have already been said about this book by others, and Eboom don’t have a different opinion here either. Creating Web Pages for Dummies. Very broad book that combines a lot of topics: Covers a lot of basic ground and takes an iterative approach to RUP. Imagine graduating from a college with a basic, vanilla, no-frills CS degree and landing a development job at a non-software company that doesn’t have much software practice. What I especially enjoyed when reading this book is it’s description and demonstration using effective UML diagrams of simple examples and case studies – of the application of the GRASP and GOF patterns for doing object-oriented software design and development. Read appying book as part of an analysis and design class I recently took at the University of St. Nov 21, Johan Broberg rated it it was ok. Hard to use as a reference book. I firmly believe that good design representations help to focus intent and support shared understanding.
