My Gujarati friends make sheera as prasad. When eating you will get that sugar crunch in the mouth. Even we make the same for the pooja, tastes so good…lovely pictures of the pooja Vaishali.

We too make sindui for Satyanarayana pooja but with sooji in place of wheat flour. Nice to learn about the satyanarayan pooja. If making otherwise peanuts are not added instead one can add almonds or other dry fruits, but the authentic one it is just ghee, flour and sugar.
I know that it is a very popular sidhi which is done every month on satyanarayan katha in sindhi full moon day. The prasad is made at home. Mom too performed the Satyanarayan Katha herself at home a couple of days ago.

The Satyanarayan pooja is done at the hotel with a pandit coming in. Choori for Satya Narayan Prasad. The peanuts are added to the Kutti, when it is half done. This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Add sugar and remove from fire immediately.
